Sydney turns 9!

Sydney's Birthday was on Monday.  She had school off and everything (President's day) she was actually disappointed about NOT going to school.  She is so funny the day is definitely all about her.  Which birthdays should be.  It is her day.  The only thing is it is kinda hard to make her completely happy because every other second is "what are we doing, today is my birthday",  that is a lot of pressure for a mom.
A bonus surprise this year is Uncle Keith & Aunt Lesa were here for the weekend to spend it with us.  So Sunday night we had a family dinner/party.  Grandma & Grandpa Maughan, Uncle Jon (the rest of his fam was in Logan),  Aunt Lesa, Uncle Keith & Kate. She requested a Jello Cake this year.

And guess what she got.... a new motor scooter. 

Monday we went to Fat Cats in Rexburg and did a little bowling.  So fun that we could have family here make the day even more special. 
Ask Todd who beat him? but don't ask Uncle Keith who won....because technically I can only remember who I beat otherwise the scores get a little fuzzy. 

 

 

Dear Sydney- to a really spectacular girl.  You are nine and a firecracker.  You know what you want and go for it.  You have self motivation and determination.  Which makes me so proud as a parent to see you succeed.  You still have your sparkly eyes that have mischief in them. You laugh and giggle so easy - You are an excellent help with Rigg especially when you want to be...you are a little slow on the job when it is required of you :)  You are still as social as ever- you are very aware of what is going on around you in fact we have to watch what we say because there is always a pair of ears on us.  You are very well loved.  Your favorite thing to do is to try and get Grandpa to admit you are his favorite with your sparkly eyes.  We love you and are so glad you are in our family!
