4th Of July!!

I decided that the 4th is one of my favorite holidays. To me it means family, fun and Freedom. How many other times through the year does a whole nation ban together and feel the same pride? It is so neat to know that know matter where you are or what you are doing someone somewhere is celebrating the same thing. What a comfort to live in this great country.
After getting home late thursday night Friday the 4th was looking to be a long TIRED day but Jake & Nicole came to visit that weekend so we had to show them the fun things that IF could provide. So we spent the day in Menan and watched their parade and walked the little booths of games and face painting. The parade was perfect about 30-45 minutes long- so they got just enough candy and saw the right amount of cheerleaders, tractors and firetrucks. To end the day we went to the Fireworks around the river, while we were waiting we played Phase 10 (I cannot remember for the life of me who won?)and took pictures. It was a great night. Saturday night we lit off fireworks in our cul-de-sac with neighbors. The kids thought they were great....Tyson hid from some and Sophie (the dog) was not a fan of them. She was very confused.
